Removing the Old Shingles
Our process begins with carefully stripping away the old shingles to reveal the underlying roof deck. For your protection, every roof is fully stripped prior to replacement.
Removing the Rotted Roof Deck
When existing decking shows signs of rot or water damage, we remove and replace it with fresh, sturdy sheathing. This ensures a solid foundation for the new installation and helps prevent future leaks, sagging, or structural issues. For your protection, any damaged or deteriorated decking will need to be replaced to ensure the roof is installed safely and correctly.
Installing the Underlayment
Before adding new shingles, we install a protective underlayment. Partnering with Owens Corning® ProArmor, we use durable synthetic materials, featuring the iconic Pink Panther, that provide superior moisture resistance and a secondary waterproof barrier beneath your shingles. Preparing for the Shingle Installation
With the roof deck sealed and protected, we stage materials and align ridge and valley systems for proper drainage. Every layer is installed with precision to maximize the lifespan and performance of your new roofing system. Once the ice and water shield is installed, we’re ready to begin installing your new roof.
